Renewable Energy in Agriculture & Solar Pumping Workshop

NSW Farmer's Association, the Office of Environment and Heritage and Greater Sydney LLS today presented a workshop to farmers, business and agency staff on improving farm profitability through managing energy use. 

This included advice on choosing and maintaining equipment to reduce energy consumption, and analysing daily energy demands to evaluate the suitability of on-farm solar energy generation to run farm infrastructure. 

Presentations by agency staff, NSW Farmer's Association and businesses supplying solar infrastructure provided a balanced case for different energy options to assist farm managers make the most cost effective decisions.
